Natural Designs Forum Poll

Are the "professionals" of digital scrapbooking no bigger than a "professional" marble player? I had to answer...and tended to ramble. I also sound like an obsessed teeny-bopper with a boy-band! Ugh.

Marble playing????? ACK! My analogy to MY husband was...since he is into automotives.... like CHIP FOOS of Overhaulin' coming to him and telling him "Nice car you built there, Greg". Chip Foos builds moving, driving, "Works Of Art" which will be around (hopefully) for years. We, essentially, are doing the same thing...building "Works Of Art" which will be around for years. Or for a different aspect...Jesse James of Monster Garage. Just "chatting" on the phone with my husband, "oh, Greg, how are you tonight?" Because EVERYBODY knows Jesse James for the motorcycle designing GOD that he is with custom manufacturing! That is what I feel like when I get on-line to the Chatroom Monday nights to talk with everybody there. Dani, (designbydani); Kristie (shabbyprincess), Anita & Theresa (natural designs); Susan (kitchen) Jasmine (jasBeanie); Brianna (atomic cupcake). They know my name. They TALK to me. I am one of the minor groupies to these Scrap Superstars. There is an amazing amount of overwhelming talent there that surrounds me like a warm blanket. If I can just be lucky enough, perhaps some of their talent will rub off onto me! I am so god-awful LUCKY to have stumbled into an invitation to join these people on Monday nights. When I first visited, I was SO scared just to be IN a chatroom, and then when I later started to "investigate" who these people were. OMG. I almost peed my pants. It took a lot of courage for me to go back the following monday nite. KRISTIE knows my name and has spoken to me on the chat room. I feel like I have (indirectly) met Picasso~ I Love, Adore, Drool over her innovative stuff. SHAWNA-Ahhhh. She has more talent in her little finger than I do in my big butt! ANITA~Up until I met her & saw her stuff, I thought the best Australian thing was Mad Max! DANI...Ack. She is a designing goddess! A myth! Like Hera, come down from Mount Olympus to influence us as mere mortals...but I digress.... Sports? No. Doesn't count. Marble Playing? No. They do not create anything. But we do. We create living, breathing works of art meant to be dug up in later centuries and marvelled upon by archaeologists not yet born!
