Valentine's Day Birthday Presents
Worked on scrapping yesterday. IM'd to Matt yesterday, which was unusual as I almost never get to talk to him.
Then, UPS and FED Ex dropped off stuff for Greg. Dean came to fix the fireplace-the thermo-coupler was bad again.
Isabelle was SO terrified of Dean, that when he walked up the back stairs on the deck, she jumped off the other end. Thankfully, there was about 3 feet of snow there that she landed in, but she was nuts. Barking at him violently. People think she is massively big and vicious. She is just a big barking lunatic!
Picked up a couple rear ends for Greg last night from Chad in Hayden; briefly met and talked with his wife, Amy who seemed kinda nice. Greg related that she is a nurse and makes big bucks and really seems to enjoy her job. Wow. Imagine that - job satisfaction. Wish I could ever have found that.
Then went to Costco, Safeway, Hastings, Borders, and Office Max.At Office Max, I turned in 8 printer cartridges and will donate the free reams of paper to Kelsey's high school - Timberlake. Also found Magnetic Paper there, and when I got home, printed my scrapbook pages on it. They are about 3"x3"; most of them are still easily decipherable. They look adorable on the fridge. Now we have the pleasure of seeing this work everyday. Greg enjoys seeing them there. See Pic.
Hastings & Borders have NO digital scrapbooking books. Imagine that. A bookstore with no books in it. Borders said they could "special order" it into the store and have it within 7-10 days. Told them I could order in on Amazon and have it within 3-5 days!
I am sending Kelsey some of my paper scrapping stuff for her birthday, since I don't do it much anymore. I have a few things I need to put together now, tho, for paper scrap pages. The paper and embellishments are sitting out on the bar in the kitchen and will stay there until I have the motivation to create. Also warned Greg that I have some BeautifuL Valentine's Day paper, so I had BETTER have some good pics to scrap for that! haha.
Got a lot of cute things for Kelsey last night. Costco had a butt-load of colored paper for scrapbooking - 320 sheets with color on both sides! And more scrapbook albums..found black ones this time instead of the gosh-awful yellow and Easter egg pink;
Almost forgot! At Costco, we purchased the pink PLAYTEX TAMPONS in the mega-size 88 for Kelsey's annual birthday/christmas gift! This is family TRADITION that we started quite a few years ago. I had run out of presents for her, so got her those and wrapped them one Christmas. She complained that it wasn't an "official" Xmas present, but it turned into a tradition. She attempted to explain it to her husband, Matt; but he just didn't understand. Suppose you have to be there at the beginning. When I was IMing Matt yesterday, I reminded him about the morning cupcake/candle/happy birthday singing he has to do on her birthday. He TOLD me he had it under control. Whatever that means!
Well, to get back to my Tampon subject. This one is special because it has a bonus small pack of another 12. So Kelsey gets 88 + 12 = 100 if my math is accurate, and you realize that I am not that good with numbers!
Safeway had a cute pink and white lollipop; also red M&M chocolate candies with romantic sayings...Trust Me...I Dig U...U & Me...Falling 4 U...My Princess...True Love...Hi Gorgeous...U R A 10. How cute! All these were just asking to be purchased for Kelsey's b-day. I absolutely ADORE that she has her birthday on Valentine's Day!
We will pack all her stuff up today in the priority boxes and if Greg comes home early, will drop them at the Post Office. He forgot to get additional boxes the last time he was at the postal office, so we have to pick some up.
We did not have time to pick up a foam mattress pad for Isabelle, but will do that this weekend. She also desperately needs a bath. She played in the shop this weekend with the guys and got oily/dirty. However, we picked up doggie cookys at Safeway, and we had already stopped at Wendy's for her regular...4 bacon cheeseburgers at 99c each.
When we came home last night and unloaded all our purchases, Greg immediately started feeling worse. You could hear it in his throat. He passed out in the recliner with a blanket. This cold is horrible.
I woke up with a crick in my neck this morning. Have been looking at everything sideways.
